Papa finally got to hold her. He had a bad cold while she was in the hospital and couldn't go near her.

Leaving the hospital...finally!

Charli all ready for her first outing since coming home...funny we were going back to the hospital for more bloodwork.

Under the lights - she had quite bad jaundice and was under the lights for 4 days. You can barely see her little nose under those goggles.
Out of the hospital gown...those things never stay on.
This is my ABSOLUTE favourite picture of Charli!

Charli Mayze Indyah Morhart

Well here is the lowdown...woke up at 2am on the 28th of March and my water broke! I woke Brian up and told him it was time to go. Once I got out of the shower, I found him back in bed under the covers. I got him up and off to the hospital we went!

My contractions were coming in groups of 2 with very little rest in between. I totally lived up to my nickname of "Low Pain Tolerance Lindsay" and opted for some demarol but that wasn't cutting it. I wanted more so I got an epidural. That was the biggest mistake I made. It slowed my labour down to a crawl and I couldn't tell if I was pushing right...mind you it felt good! Finally, they just turned the epidural off and gave me oxytocin to get my contractions going again. I could finally feel when I needed to push and we were off to the races...or so I thought. Apparently, my dr was prepping for a c-section because he didn't think I was going to be able to push the baby out. They drained my bladder and voila Charli arrived 30 minutes later.

Needless to say we were very surprised that the baby was a girl! We were both certain that she was a he!!!! No matter, she has us both wrapped around her little finger (her dad more than her mom). She is absolutely amazing and such a little miracle. The dogs are adjusting slowly...they don't like when she fusses...they run in to protect her when she cries (which is not very often).

I will get some pictures up here ASAP and as we speak I am downloading video on to the computer.

Take care
